You only need 4 ingredients to make the Best Caramel Apple Toffee Dip! It'll be everyone's favorite at your next party!

The Best Caramel Apple Toffee Dip is a recipe I’ve been making for years!  It’s always a hit at any occasion!

You only need 4 ingredients to make this fabulous Caramel Apple Toffee Dip! It'll be everyone's favorite at your next party!

Raise your hand if you love a good 4 ingredient treat that you can make in no time at all and take it to just about any gathering you’ve promised to attend.  Yep, I’m raising both hands.

There are several apple dip recipes here on C&C – candy bar, peanut butter cup, German chocolate and peanut butter.  Fall will be here before we know it and orchards will be bursting at the seams with gorgeous, fresh apples.  I love them as is, but some days I consider them the perfect vehicle for the aforementioned dips.  …

Caramel Apple Cups

October 19, 2014 By Megan@CrumbsandChaos

Caramel Apple Cups | crumbsandchaos.dreamhosters.com | #caramel #apple #pie #fall #desserts

If you search Caramel Apple on our site you will find a plethora of awesome recipes, such as my favorite Caramel Apple Donuts, Caramel Apple Cinna-minis, Caramel Apple Dip, and much more!  Why you ask?  Well because in my opinion {caramel + apples = one of the BEST flavor combos EVER}!  It always has been my favorite and it probably always will be.  These Caramel Apple Cups fit into that category and did not disappoint.  They are a wonderful “mini” pie of sorts.  With a delicious graham cracker crust, sweet apple pie filling, and topped with a smooth caramel drizzle.  YUM!

Caramel Apple Cups | crumbsandchaos.dreamhosters.com | #caramel #apple #pie #fall #desserts

Over at Princess Pinky Girl she baked them in mini cupcake pans.  I didn’t have them available so I went with regular sized.  I tweaked this recipe slightly to work and they were perfect.  Making sure to bake your crusts a little before filling them, they are the perfect cup to hold the apple goodness!  Another wonderful recipe for one of our favorite times of the year!  FALL!

Caramel Apple Cups

Save Print
Ingredients
  • 1½ cups GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS
  • 10 Tablespoons BUTTER, melted
  • ⅓ cup POWDERED SUGAR
  • 3½ cups peeled, cored and chopped APPLES (I used a food processor but you can just chop them)
  • ⅓ cup SUGAR
  • ¼ cup BROWN SUGAR
  • 2¼ tablespoons FLOUR
  • ½ teaspoon CINNAMON
  • ¼ teaspoon NUTMEG
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease pan with non-stick spray. Combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Evenly distribute mixture to the 12 greased muffin cups. Press along the bottom and sides to make a “cup”. Bake for 5 minutes and let cool completely.
  2. In a baking dish, mix apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake for 15 minutes, until apples are slightly softened. Scoop the apple mix and place on top of the graham cracker crust cups (while still in the muffin pan). Bake for 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely and remove from pan. Drizzle with caramel topping. ENJOY!

{Baked} Caramel Apple Donuts

September 26, 2012 By Megan@CrumbsandChaos

There isn’t anything about the caramel apple combo that I don’t love!  I have always been a huge fan of apple cider, and when I discovered the Caramel Apple Spice at Starbucks it was love at first sip.  All throughout college it was the thing that kept my hands and stomach warm on the cold Chicago days!  Since then I have of course found an endless list of treats using this winning pair.  I love the Caramel Apple Dip, Caramel Apple Crisp, and the Mini Caramel Apple Fruit Pizzas to name a few.

Last week when searching donuts on pinterest I came across the idea of Caramel Apple Donuts.  They were baked and not fried, definite plus. And I found a caramel topping made from real caramels, not just a caramel glaze, again a major plus in my book.  I thought the original recipe didn’t have quite enough liquid so I add a bit but otherwise they were wonderful, especially while they were still warm and dripping with caramel!

{Baked} Caramel Apple Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups FLOUR
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon BAKING POWDER
  • 1/4 cup SUGAR
  • 1/4 cup BROWN SUGAR
  • 1/2 teaspoon SALT
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated NUTMEG
  • 1/3 cup BUTTER, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1 EGG
  • 1/3 cup MILK
  • 1 1/2 cups APPLES, peeled, cored, and grated
  • 1 1/2 cups CARAMELS, I used the Caramel Bits but you could also unwrap the candies
  • 1 Tablespoon WHOLE MILK

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl whisk flour, baking powder, sugars, salt and nutmeg. Add butter and work in with a knife to incorporate. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk. Combine with grated apples. Add egg mixture to flour mixture and stir without over doing it. Pipe batter into greased donut pan about 3/4 full. Bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, place caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Then stir. Continue heating in 30 second intervals, stirring between each time until smooth and creamy. Dip the top of the donuts in the caramel to frost. ENJOY!

MINI CARAMEL APPLE FRUIT PIZZAS

October 20, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Today I am participating in The Improv Cooking Challenge held by Sheryl at Lady Behind the Curtain.  The theme for this very first month was Caramel and Apples.  I knew that I couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to create a recipe that combined the two.

I have always loved fruit pizza!  Typically when I make it, I use strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries.  About a month ago my sister-in-law Brittany made a fruit pizza with apples on it.  It was really good and was the original inspiration for this recipe.  I found a Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting at Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures and it worked wonderfully (I halved the original recipe and still had some left over.  It is great on brownies too!).  I then took ingredients from a traditional caramel apple to complete this wondeful fall treat!

MINI CARAMEL APPLE FRUIT PIZZAS
Recipe by Crumbs and Chaos
Printable Recipe Here

Ingredients
SUGAR COOKIE DOUGH — I used 1 tube of Pillsbury, you could make it if you wanted
1 large APPLE
1/4 cup PEANUTS, chopped
1/4 cup BUTTER, softened
4 oz CREAM CHEESE, softened
1/2 cup CARAMEL ICE CREAM TOPPING — plus additional for drizzling
3 cups POWDERED SUGAR
LEMON JUICE
Directions
Bake cookies according to package directions.  Allow to cool completely.
Meanwhile, beat butter and cream cheese well.  Add Caramel and mix until well combined.  Slowly beat in powdered sugar until smooth.  Set aside.
Peel apples and slice thinly.  Toss with small amount of lemon juice in a small bowl.
To assemble, frost cookies with frosting.  Layer with three apple slices each and drizzle with remaining caramel.  Before serving, sprinkle with chopped peanuts.  ENJOY!

A Fabulous Menu for Any Fall Party (and a recipe for Caramel Apple Dip)

October 19, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Are you hosting a party this fall?
We did this past weekend.  We had a blast with our family and friends.  The kids enjoyed taking our version of hay rides in the wagon of a riding lawn mower and carving pumpkins.  In the past, we have also played Minute to Win It games as well.
Most gatherings like this involve food and that is sometimes the more difficult part to plan.  I decided to make 2 different kinds of soup along with bread.  I had those coming to the party bring an appetizer or dessert.  Everything was wonderful.
This is what we enjoyed:
Cream Cheese Potato Soup
Pumpkin Chili
Sweet Corn Bread
Rolls (these were from the freezer section)
Pumpkin Whipped Honey Butter from Not Rachael Ray (this was incredible!)
Beer Bread with Spinach Dip
Zesty Hot Sausage Dip
Easy Cheesy Hot Bean Dip from My Life as a Mrs
Apple Cake
Cake Pops
Pumpkin Spice Lattes
Spiced Cider – I put apple cider a small crockpot with cinnamon sticks, lemon slices and orange slices.  I turned it on low for a few hours.  It was delicious!
The thing that really stole the spotlight was this caramel apple dip.  I had seen it last month on Jane Deere and knew I had to have it for our party.

Candy Bar Apple Dip

Candy Bar Apple Dip | Crumbs and Chaos #dip #apples #candybar This easy 4 ingredient dip is light and fluffy and perfect for this season's apples! www.crumbsandchaos.dreamhosters.com

This light and fluffy, 4 ingredient dessert dip is perfect for fall’s fresh, crisp apples –

Candy Bar Apple Dip – you’re gonna love it!

Candy Bar Apple Dip | Crumbs and Chaos #dip #apples #candybar This easy 4 ingredient dip is light and fluffy and perfect for this season's apples! www.crumbsandchaos.dreamhosters.com

Two years ago I was introduced to this fabulous caramel apple dip – it’s always the hit of the party and a cinch to make.  And thanks to Pinterest, one of our most viewed recipes ever – rightly so, the stuff is amazing.  So think of this Candy Bar Apple Dip as the Caramel Apple Dip’s Sophisticated Older Sister…

I was heading to a birthday party and taking along some freshly picked apples.  I had planned on making the regular classic caramel apple dip (I didn’t have the caramel, but was going to use dulce de leche), but all of a sudden decided to switch things up a bit.  This version turned into something completely incredible.  There’s only 4 (yep – 4!) ingredients and it is light and silky.  Best of all – you can use your favorite candy bar!  I had Butterfingers on hand, but can’t wait to make this again with Snickers, Heath, Milky Way…the sky’s really the limit here.

So take this to your next get together, put it on the menu for your fall or Halloween party, it would totally rock your next game day spread and don’t be surprised if you end up wanting to shove your entire face in the bowl…I almost did.

Candy Bar Apple Dip

A dessert dip that pairs beautifully with apples. Use your favorite candy bar in this recipe for Candy Bar Apple Dip and try not to eat the entire bowl yourself!
Ingredients
  • 8 oz. CREAM CHEESE, room temperature
  • 1 13.4 oz. can of DULCE DE LECHE*
  • 1 cup HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM*
  • 6 FUN SIZE CANDY BARS (choose your favorite - I used Butterfingers), roughly chopped
Instructions
  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add dulce de leche by the spoonful and continue mixing until well combined - you will probably need to scrape the sides of the bowl. Set aside.
  2. Whip cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  3. Add chopped candy bars and chill until serving with fresh apple slices*.
Notes
*Dulce de leche can be found at most grocery stores in the Hispanic foods section. It's a thick caramel made from sweetened condensed milk. You could also make your own.

*I had whipping cream on hand so that's what I used in this recipe. You could also try using Cool Whip in it's place.

Peanut Butter Cup Apple Dip

Peanut Butter Cup Apple Dip | Crumbs and Chaos

Because sometimes apple slices were made for dippin’,  Peanut Butter Cup Apple Dip is a fun new way to enjoy apples this fall!

Peanut Butter Cup Apple Dip | Crumbs and Chaos

Last week we went on a field trip to the apple orchard and came home with quite the bounty.  I decided we needed another apple dip in our collection around here, so here ya go.  Super creamy and peanut buttery, the cream cheese gives it a bit of a tang, this dip is mousse-like and studded with chopped peanut butter cups.  It’s downright amazing.  And it’s a cinch to make ahead for your next get together.  You just need a mixer and 2 bowls.  The easiest fall dessert just might be a pile of fresh apple slices alongside a bowl of sweet, creamy fruit dip…how low stress is that?  Ready and waiting to take to all of your fall parties ;)…

Super simple to make, your family and friends will be asking for more of this Easy Apple Cake!

Easy Apple Cake | Crumbs and Chaos

Is there anyone else out there with a love for magazine subscriptions?  I probably get between 6-8 magazines in a month.  Seeing all the fresh new ideas, drooling over new recipes and educating myself about the hows and whys of home decorating…yes, I need every single one.  This month I was excited to see this apple cake in Allrecipes magazine because I had already tried two other recipes for apple cake and they both failed pretty miserably.  This one, however, hit it out of the park.  It would be really great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and warm caramel sauce drizzled over the top.  Perfect fall dessert ;)…

Snickerdoodle Apple Dessert Pizza | Crumbs and Chaos
We’re celebrating apple season with Snickerdoodle Apple Dessert Pizza, made using Walmart Produce as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars.

One of my favorite smells in all the world, besides freshly roasted coffee beans, is the smell of a bag full of fresh apples.  Absolutely heavenly!  When apple season rolls around, you’d better believe I will get my hands on just as many as I can.  They are so versatile and delicious – from cookies and cinnamon rolls to applesauce and danish pastry bars, apples are a family fave!

Today I’ve paired them with one of their favorite partners – cinnamon!  Warm and inviting, Snickerdoodle Apple Dessert Pizza totally screams fall.  Snickerdoodle cookie crust spread with tangy cream cheese cinnamon topped with fresh chopped apple chunks and sprinkled with a little more cinnamon and sugar.  Super amazing!…
