Gift Ideas for the Cook in Your Life and a Giveaway

December 1, 2010 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love

Sometimes gift giving is easy.
Sometimes it’s not.
If you know someone who loves to cook, look no further for great gift ideas.

Hamilton Beach 33135 3-in-1 Slow Cooker with 2-, 4-, and 6-Quart Crocks, Stainless Steel
The Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Slow Cooker comes with a 2, 4 and 6 quart crock to meet all of your slow cooking needs.  All crocks use the same base and nest inside of each other for storage.  This stainless and black design is sleek and stylish.  Sells for about $60.
Zak Designs E-Z-Rol Garlic Peeler, Red
I really want to try one of these!  As a lover of FRESH GARLIC, a garlic peeler would definitely be a must for my kitchen.  You place the clove inside of the cylinder, roll on the counter, turn it right side up and out drops the clove peeled and ready to chop.  Dishwasher-safe and comes in blue and green too!  Sells for about $8.
Flirty Aprons Women's Original Blue Chocolate Apron
A cute apron for your favorite chef!  They pretty much speak for themselves…adorable, easy to clean, adorable, functional and did I mention they are adorable?  I have one in my favorite harvest time colors, it makes cooking feel a little more fabulous!  You can find them online for around $30, but I have seen some at TJMaxx and Marshalls for about half that price.
Lodge Color Enamel 7.5 Quart Dutch Oven, Island Spice Red
A Lodge Logic Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven is an excellent addition to any kitchen.  The beauty of enameled cast iron is it’s versatility – you can use it to cook, marinate, saute, fry and bake.  It works on all cook tops and is oven-safe.  There are a variety of gorgeous colors to choose from (of course, red is my favorite).  This Lodge Logic version starts at about $50 and goes up depending on the size.  That is a great deal compared to the fancier French version.
KitchenArt Cook's Pro Set, Champagne Satin
Adjustable measuring spoons are GREAT!!!  They eliminate a lot of measuring headaches in my kitchen, I love that the teaspoon has a 1/8 measurement and this particular set also has a 1/2 cup adjustable scoop, as well as a Tablespoon and Teaspoon.  Sells for about $18.
Want a few more ideas?  Review our Favorite Kitchen Gadget Series (Becca, Emily, Kate, Megan) to see more fantastic things we use and love.
I hope this list inspires you with ideas of what to get your favorite foodie.  Did I mention this is my Christmas list as well?  Someone please email this to my husband.  Thanks in advance!
I’m not done yet.  There’s a GIVEAWAY today!

One week ago I told my husband and daughter that if they were going to get me something, I wanted a subscription to Everyday Food! It’s tops on my Christmas list.

The top of my Christmas list is an iPhone!! I have faithfully taken care of my old phone for two years without letting my kids break it or throw it in the toilet and I think i should be rewarded;)

A throw-back to the 50’s era apron has been number one on my Christmas list since I saw them at a fabulous stand at the DSM Farmer’s Market. I just love the idea of looking feminine and pretty while I make a mess!
