Last week I gave you a breakfast idea that takes some time to make. This week, I am going to give you a quick easy idea for Valentine’s Day breakfast that you can make for your sweetheart, maybe even for breakfast in bed!
HEART SHAPED EGG-IN-A-HOLE
Ingredients
1 slice of BREAD
1 EGG
COOKING SPRAY or BUTTER for the pan
Red JELLY or JAM
Directions
For each slice of bread take a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out the center of the bread.  Set the cut out hearts aside to be toasted. Then heat a skillet or griddle to medium heat and spray with cooking spray or melt butter.  Place the bread in the skillet and let it cook for 1 minute.  Then crack an egg into each hole.  Cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes.  Flip to cook the other side.  Another 2 minutes for a runny yolk or slightly long for a set egg.   Spread red jelly or jam on the toasted hearts.  Serve with bacon or sausage.  ENJOY!
