{Simple Dinner} Baked Tilapia

February 10, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
If you’d like to save a little money on a Valentine meal for your sweetheart, this one is for you.  No waiting at a restaurant or going out in the cold.  My husband and I make this often.  I’m not much for ‘fishy’ fish, but I love tilapia made like this!
For this simple meal you’ll need:
-Tilapia (We buy a box of frozen tilapia that’s individually wrapped from our freezer section of the grocery store.)
-Emeril’s Original Essence Seasoning
-Soy Sauce
-Foil & Pam spray are helpful
-Side dish- we used fresh green beans and rice, but your favorite side will do.
Start by defrosting your fish (if frozen) for 15 minutes in cold water.  In the mean time, preheat oven to 350 degrees.  I line my pan with foil and spray it with pam to help with clean up later.  After the fish has defrosted, season with Emeril’s Original Essence Seasoning on both sides.  (This will give it a little spice.)  Place it in your pan.
Then add soy sauce around the fish in the pan.
Bake for 20 minutes or until tilapia flakes easily with a fork.
While the fish is baking, you’ll have time to prepare your side dish.
Note: Lemon Pepper seasoning is also perfect for this fish.  (My kids love this on it!)
