Must Try— Feta Dip

November 1, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
Each Saturday we host a group of friends at our house to spend the day watching college football.  Each week we hope our favorite team wins.  Each week we look forward to seeing what everyone brings.  We have a great group of friends that likes to make classic Game Day recipes like taco dip, mini pigs in a blanket and tortilla roll-ups but we also love to try out new recipes on each other.  Now this Feta Dip was the true winner this past weekend (especially since our team did not win).  We enjoyed it for tailgating but it would be great to take to a Christmas party this holiday season because of the red, green and white colors.  It is easy to throw together which I love especially as we head into this busy time of year!  Take this to your next get together, party or whatever excuse you need to make this dip and it will not disappoint.
There aren’t real measurements for this recipe so you can just go with what you have and add as needed.
Feta Dip
Printable Recipe Here
Olive Oil
1- 4oz package of feta cheese (this could vary depending on the size of your platter, the original recipe calls for a 1 lb. block.)
tomatoes- I used grape tomatoes that I quartered, about 1/2 of a package
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
Cavender’s Greek Seasoning
1 baguette
Spread a generous amount of olive oil on a large platter.
Chop the green onions and tomatoes.
In a medium bowl, add green onions, tomatoes, seasoning and small amount of olive oil.  Add feta cheese and gently toss.
Spread on to olive oil.
Slice the baguette and serve.
Enjoy!

This sounds delish and I like that you have the olive oil on the bottom of everything. This might be good if you broiled it for a few minutes, too. I remember having something similar at a greek restaurant once and they broiled it and it was out of this world. Either way – it looks and sounds awesome!
