5 on Friday: It’s that time of year….

April 13, 2012 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love

It’s that time of year for…. ASPARAGUS!  Having personally picked fresh asparagus from the ground to complete a meal, I can tell you that nothing compares.  Unfortunately in order to get it at its freshest we only have a short few months when it’s at its peak.  Here at Crumbs and Chaos we have featured it a time or two in our Quick Asparagus Lasagna, Garlic Balsamic Asparagus, and grilled along side Salmon.  This week we are featuring 5 asparagus recipes from around the web, so hurry and enjoy this vegetable while it is still in season!

MMM! I love asparagus (and so does my husband, 5 year old, and 4 year old!) – the prosciutto wrapped and pea soup recipes look super yummy 🙂

Yummmers. I started growing asparagus in my garden three years ago, and this is the first year I have harvested it. I’ve got two stalks blanched and frozen and waiting for more 🙂 hehe
