Chicken Alfredo Pizza

November 14, 2012 By Megan@CrumbsandChaos

Spread the love

You may have noticed that over the past few months I have become sort of obsessed with my donuts pans.  It seems like there is a new recipe tried every week or so and a tried and true recipe made between those times.  My point in saying this is not to talk about donuts but to tell you that once in a while there are things that make their way into my kitchen that gain my undying love.  My donut pans are one of those and more recently is my pizza stone!  Now Becca has been talking about her pizza stone for quite a while but for some reason it never seemed that important.  She claimed it would change my pizza loving life!  And well…. SHE WAS RIGHT!

I have made pizza now a handful of times and it hasn’t failed me yet!  I have in the past (before my pizza stone days) made pizza dough for homemade pizza and of course you could make your own alfredo sauce.  But to make things easier I just used frozen pizza dough and a jar of alfredo sauce.  It is incredibly easy and can end up being much cheaper than even a frozen pizza.  Sometimes I make a full size pizza but more times then not, I have divided the dough into 4 quarters and made us each our own individual pizzas.  The kids love this because they get their own!  I love this because I tend to like a few extra ingredients that the rest of the family doesn’t care for and if I have my own I can customize to my liking.

Besides pizza, one of our other favorite meals is Chicken Alfredo.  I have seen Chicken Alfredo Pizza at restaurants before and thought why not.  So here it is…  my recommendation is get a pizza stone and try this!

Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. PIZZA DOUGH, thawed if frozen
  • 1 1/2 cups CHICKEN, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup ALFREDO SAUCE
  • 1 cup shredded MOZZARELLA CHEESE
  • 1/4 cup PARMESAN CHEESE
  • 2 Tablespoons dried PARSLEY

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees with pizza stone in oven, if using one. In a small bowl mix parmesan cheese and parsley. On parchment paper roll out dough into a large circle for one pizza or into 4 individual pizzas. Fork the dough to prevent air bubbles from forming. Top with sauce, chicken, mozzarella, and parmesan mixture. When the pizza stone is hot, place parchment paper and pizza on the stone (if you don't have a stone, place on a cookie sheet). Bake 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown. Serve with extra alfredo for dipping the crust. ENJOY!
