Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

August 23, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
Do you ever find a recipe and feel the need to make it as soon as possible?  I mean, maybe it is because I am pregnant, maybe it is because I love peanut butter or it is just one of those things.  I came across this recipe the other day and I knew I would be making it that night.  Plus I had everything on hand so it made it really easy.  This cake is to die for if you love peanut butter!  I probably could have eaten the whole thing, but I didn’t.

Peanut Butter Sheet Cake
Printable Recipe Here
Cake:
2 cups Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 sticks Butter
1 cup Water
1 cup Peanut Butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 whole Eggs
Frosting:
1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
6 teaspoons Milk
1 pound Powdered Sugar
In a large bowl, mix together sugar, baking soda, flour and salt.  Set aside.
Combine butter, water and peanut butter in saucepan and bring to a boil.  Pour over flour mixture.
Add milk, vanilla and eggs.  Mix.
Pour into large cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.  Bake at 400F degrees for 20 minutes.
Frosting:
Bring butter, peanut butter, milk to a boil in saucepan.  Add one pound of powdered sugar.  Pour warmed frosting over cooled cake.
Enjoy!
