Chicken Parmesan Rolls

April 29, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
When looking for something to do with leftover wonton wrappers, I came upon a recipe that filled wonton/egg roll wrappers with a chicken parmesan filling.  Unfortunately it didn’t turn out quite like I had anticipated.  HOWEVER, I was making crescent rolls at the same time and decided to do some experimenting.  I tried the exact filling in a crescent roll and realized that while it wasn’t fantastic, it had potential!

So last week I tried again with some of my own tweaks and additions.  They turned out wonderfully!  We absolutely love crescent rolls at our house and this filling made for a perfect appetizer or addition to a spaghetti dinner.  The only problem we have is getting to them before someone else eats them!

Ingredients
1 pkg CRESCENT ROLLS
3/4 cup CHICKEN, cooked and shredded
1/3 cup SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1 clove GARLIC, minced
1 tsp BASIL
1/4 cup shredded MOZZARELLA
PARMESAN CHEESE

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a small bowl combine chicken, spaghetti sauce, garlic, and basil.  Unroll the crescent rolls and divide the chicken mixture amongst each triangle, about 1 Tablespoon each.  Add a pinch of mozzarella and a dash of parmesan to each crescent roll.  Carefully roll each triangle and place on a foiled lined baking sheet, lightly sprayed with cooking spray.  Bake til golden brown, about 12 minutes.  ENJOY!
