BBQ Coleslaw

August 11, 2010 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love

Recently, we were out with friends for dinner and had a barbecue shrimp appetizer and underneath the shrimp was a delicious coleslaw that tasted like it had barbecue sauce in it. So last weekend as Jason was smoking a brisket on the Big Green Egg, I decided to create something similar. I found a coleslaw recipe on the back of the dressing bottle. It wasn’t just your typical coleslaw…it goes something like this…

4 cups shredded cabbage (for added color use red & green cabbage)
2 apples (chopped)
1 cup walnuts
1 1/2 cups Hidden Valley Coleslaw dressing
Barbecue sauce to taste

We added a spicy bbq sauce to this recipe and it was to die for. I am not sure exactly how much bbq sauce went in so you will have to do it to your liking. Enjoy!!!
