It’s easy to run out of time, especially during the holidays. If you need a treat that you can make from start to finish in about a half an hour…this is the one.
And it’s absolutely addictive. I’m telling you, this Sweet & Salty Snack Mix is where it’s at.
My mother-in-law would whip this up before we came to visit and it didn’t last long after we arrived. Everyone loves it, my favorite part is the caramel-y covered cereal…I could add nothing else and just eat that. But all the rest makes for a great combo of sweet and salty.
It’s simple to make, remember to ask for a large paper bag when you are at your local grocery store. You will be noshing on sweet, salty goodness in no time. I know it will be hard, but please try to save some for your family and friends!

I really love the idea of giving this in a glass jar. It’s so simple with a ribbon, but it’s great because it’s easy to transport (you’re not going to crush it by setting something else on top of it) and the jars are reusable and reasonably priced.

We made a similar recipe last year — added cranberries (dried) and swapped dark chocolate chips for the M&Ms (due to allergies). We had to leave out the peanuts too… but it was oh, so, good.

I love this idea as a gift, and I never would have thought about the brown bag and the microwave. Smart mom-n-law!

My oh my! I make a similar combination of goodies by pouring melted white chocolate over it, but I sure do like the idea of this ‘ooey gooey’ mixture instead. Thanks
