Deliciousness! This recipe is the perfect combination of fruit and chocolate flavor. These would be great for breakfast or brunch or even a baby shower. A friend introduced me to Nutella awhile back (I will have to show some of the yummy cookies she made with it). So now when I see Nutella in a recipe I am not so unsure about it. Sometimes I am unsure about cooking or baking with new ingredients but it almost always turns out to be worth it. These are definitely worth it!!!
Do you have any favorite ingredients to cook or bake with that aren’t so common?
Enjoy these delicious muffins!
Strawberry Nutella Muffins
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1 large egg
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1/3 cup Nutella
Turbinado Sugar, for spinkling on top of muffins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin tins with papers.
Combine dry ingredients and whisk together.
In a small bowl combine oil, egg, buttermilk, vanilla. Whisk until well combined.
Add wet ingredients to flour mixture and gently stir just until combined. Do not overmix. The batter will be thick. Carefully fold in strawberries.
Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Add a small spoonful of Nutella. Cover the Nutella with remaining batter mix. Sprinkle each muffin with a little Turbinado sugar.
Bake for 17-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove muffin from pan and let them cool on a cooling rack. Makes 9 muffins.
Enjoy!

I tried Nutella for the first time this year and instantly fell in love. I would have never thought to combine it with strawberries but this sounds delicious.
