Whenever I can, I love watching cooking shows on the Food Network. Sometimes there are recipes I wouldn’t make but I love seeing their techniques and tips and other times I see some I really love. A famous blogger, The Pioneer Woman, recently started her own show on the Food Network and I stopped to watch the first episode. She has lots of great recipes out there and I decided to try one of the recipes from this episode. Now, I was just using what I had at home so it is adapted and I don’t really have measurements for what I did but I can’t wait to try her recipe with some freshly harvested tomatoes. I love to use in season produce.
Simple Marinated Tomato Salad
1 package grape tomatoes
Balsamic Vinegar
Olive Oil
Sprinkle of Brown Sugar
Salt & Pepper
Basil (I used dried but I can’t wait to use fresh)
Slice tomatoes in half. Combine dressing ingredients in jar and shake. Pour over tomatoes and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
Enjoy!

Very nice recipe. 🙂 Although, I prefer simple fresh tomatoes. Still, it is awesome! Thanks. 🙂
