Have you ever made something for dinner that you can’t wait to make again?!?!? This recipe is definitely one of those. We scarfed them down and I almost wished I had made a double batch, however, then I probably would have eaten too many. This recipe looks like it has a lot of ingredients but most of them are probably in your pantry. I am interested to see if you could freeze a batch of these so I am going to try it with one of the leftovers. You could add different things to them like broccoli or spinach. There isn’t too much room in the pocket but you could add another package of crescent rolls. We served it with butternut squash, a perfect addition to any Fall meal.
Creamy Chicken Pockets
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2-3 small chicken breasts, diced
2 Tablespoons minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 Tablespoon butter, softened
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 Tablespoons milk
1-8oz. package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 Tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Heat the olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken with the onion and garlic.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 Tablespoon butter until smooth. Stir in cooked chicken, onion and garlic. Add the salts, pepper and milk. Mix well.
Separate the crescent roll dough into the eight triangles. Dollop a tablespoon of filling into the center of each triangle and fold the corners to seal. Press and seal firmly. Place on ungreased baking sheet and repeat with remaining dough and filling. Brush the tops with the melted butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown.
To heat up leftovers, bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Thank you for sharing this. Our new Friday night tradition is having a spread of appetizer/finger type foods for dinner and playing games. These would be great to add to our buffet :).
