Candy Cane Mint Milanos

December 8, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
Are you looking for a simple yet festive treat?  These cookies were so easy to put together and they are so cute.  You could place them on a plate at your holiday party or put them in little treat sacks to give as a gift or place them in a festive holiday tin for a perfect hostess gift.  The original recipe called for Red candy melts but I had almond bark on hand so I used that instead.  It worked perfect. I do love the look of the red with the candy canes so I may try that next time.  I can’t wait to share them at a holiday party tonight.

Day 1: Glazed Eggnog Cookies
Day 2: Salted Chocolate Tartlets
Day 3: Peanut Buster Caramel Bars
Day 4: Rolo Pretzel Turtles
Day 5: Snickers Popcorn

Candy Cane Mint Milanos
Printable Recipe Here
2 packages Pepperidge Farm Mint Milanos
1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermints
4 squares almond bark (or use candy melts)
Green or Red food coloring paste (do not use regular food coloring with almond bark as it doesn’t color correctly)
Melt almond bark according to package instructions.  Add food coloring.
Dip cookies into melted almond bark and then dip in crushed candy canes.
Place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper and place in the freezer until set.
Enjoy!
