Everything But The Potato Dip

December 28, 2011 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love

At any party where you are serving appetizers, a nice hot cheesy dip is almost a requirement.  This is another one that is easy to throw together and can be baked when you are ready to enjoy it.  I changed the name to reflect what this dip reminded me of…all of these flavors are everything that you would put on a baked potato.  It is a guaranteed crowd pleaser!

8 oz. CREAM CHEESE, softened
2 cups SOUR CREAM
4.5 oz. BACON PIECES (find these in the salad dressing aisle)
2 cups CHEDDAR CHEESE, shredded
1 cup CHOPPED GREEN ONION

Preheat oven to 400°.

Combine all ingredients.  Place in 1 quart baking dish, cover (you can use foil if you don’t have a lid).

Bake 25-30 minutes or until hot.

Serve with sliced French bread or crackers.

I am going to try this but only make half the recipe. I wonder if real fried bacon would do as well as the bits in the bottle? If anyone has tried this, please let me know your results.
