Pinterest. We all know it and well most of us love it. A wonderful place to find and organize ideas, inspire creativity, and, well, make us drool. But with hundreds of recipes on my food board, where do I start and will ever really get around to trying all of them? Well after a little bit of facebook conversation a few friends of mine planned a PINTERST PARTY. What is a pinterest party you ask?? Simple. A party where we get together and eat, everyone makes and brings something they have seen on pinterest. They created a Facebook Event and invited a group of friends. That way everyone can RSVP and we were also able to list what we were going to bring so that there were no double ups.
We had about 20 people there and not everyone knew everyone else, so we started the night by going around the circle and saying our name and what we made. You could also create a pinterest board that everyone could pin their recipe after the party, so that if there is something you really like you know where to look. We had everything from Spinach Artichoke Dip to Pizza Puffs to Spanakopita to Mexican Mac and Cheese for savory dishes. Followed by desserts such as White Chocolate Orange Cupcakes, Chocolate Cheeseball Dip, Cadberry Egg Stuffed Cupcakes, and so much more. I brought a tray of assorted strawberries. Some chocolate covered ones and some Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries that I saw on Pinterest. They were delicious with the perfect amount of strawberry and filling, topped with crushed graham crackers.
The pinerest party turned out to be a great idea and we all had a great time. I highly recommend it. We have even talked about doing another party, but instead of food everyone can make a craft/diy project. Then we could exchange projects by playing some sort of game (like you do at a White Elephant Gift Exchange at Christmas). The possibilities are endless.
Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
by Megan {Crumbs and Chaos}
Ingredients
- 1 lb STRAWBERRIES
- 8 oz. CREAM CHEESE, softened
- 4 Tablespoons POWDERED SUGAR
- 1 teaspoon VANILLA
- ¼ cup CRUSHED GRAHAM CRACKERS
Instructions
Spread the crushed graham crackers on a plate or cutting board. Cut the tops off the strawberries and hollow out. Depending on the strawberries they may already be hollowed. Mine were not, so I cut around the white inside part, then took my ¼ teaspoon and scooped out the middle.
In a small mixing bowl combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Place filling in a baggie and cut the tip off. Squeeze filling into each strawberry. Gently press the top of each filled strawberry into the graham crackers crumbs until top is covered. ENJOY!

I was just talking to a friend the other day about doing this! But I thought about covering the tops with chocolate so the cheesecake inside was a surprise.

This sounds like a fantastic idea! I have many recipes on pinned on my board and am slowly working my way through them. Sometimes I run in to one that is absolutely awful but that is the exception. Most all of them are winners!
