Banana Split Snack Cups | Crumbs and Chaos

Need a wholesome summer snack?  Banana Split Snack Cups fit the bill, loved by little ones and grown ups alike!

The summer snack conundrum is this – what do you give the kids day after day?  We go through our share of crackers, popcorn and granola bars, but sometimes you just have to mix it up.  One thing we always have in the fridge – yogurt.  Sometimes eaten as a quick breakfast, sometimes as a side to lunch, it always hits the spot.  I decided to take a usually decadent dessert and enjoy it as a better for everyone snack.

Yoplait Yogurt

I used Yoplait Original French Vanilla Yogurt, which has 25% less sugar, to make this adorable snack.  You can purchase Yoplait Original, Light, Greek and Gogurt at Walmart Stores.  The yogurt stands in for the ice cream in a traditional banana split.  We always have bananas on the counter, you probably do to.  This is a snack that comes together in no time at all.  The sliced bananas and yogurt layered with fresh strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate syrup is snack time perfection.  I used 4 oz. glass jars, but you could use any bowl or container you have.  Bonus points for that fact that you could put a lid on these and take them with you! Happy snacking!
