This cranberry relish is a staple at our Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers. I’m not sure how many generations it goes back, but for as long as I can remember my grandma or mom has made this during the holidays. It is a very simple process and adds flavor and color to the feast!

Ingredients
2 – 12 oz bags CRANBERRIES
2 ORANGES, cut into wedges with seeds removed
2 APPLES, cut into wedges with seeds and core removed
1 LEMON, cut into wedges with seeds removed
1 1/2 cups GRANULATED SUGAR
CHOPPED BLACK WALNUTS (optional) **
Directions
Process fruit in the food processor until finely chopped. In a large bowl, mix all fruit and add sugar. Cover tightly and store in refrigerator. We have found that it is best if made a few days in advance and has had time to set.
** You can add the black walnuts when you add the sugar if you prefer, but they will get soggy. We like to sprinkle ours on top when serving.
