Peanut butter and chocolate…a match made in heaven.
If you know anyone that loves this particular combination, then this is the treat that you should make them this February 14th. This is a no bake recipe made with a few simple ingredients. I made them last Saturday and I honestly think it may have been the easiest thing I did all day. Make sure you read the notes at the end of the recipe before you begin.
OH BABY BARS
2 Tablespoons (Dark) BROWN SUGAR (I used light)
1 1/3 cups POWDERED SUGAR
1/4 cup BUTTER, softened
3/4 cup CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER (I used the ‘natural’ kind that you don’t refrigerate)
3/4 cup CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER (I used the ‘natural’ kind that you don’t refrigerate)
7 oz. MILK CHOCOLATE (I used a little less than 1 cup of milk chocolate chips)
4 oz. SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE (about 1/2 cup if you’re using chocolate chips)
1 Tablespoon BUTTER
Blend together brown sugar, powdered sugar and 1/4 cup butter. I used my stand mixer. You need to blend it until it’s a smooth paste-like consistency.
Press into the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
Melt the chocolate and 1 Tablespoon butter over low heat in a saucepan or in the microwave (stirring every 30 seconds until smooth). Pour over peanut butter layer.
Refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into squares.
Notes:
*Make sure you keep blending the peanut butter mixture until it is smooth, not just crumbly.
*I lined my 9×13 pan with foil and lifted it from the pan as one piece and then cut them into bars.
*I left it on the counter for about 2 hours and then put it in the fridge for 30 min. I think it’s important to not have the chocolate too firm or they won’t cut neatly.

I think it’s 3/4 cup of peanut butter. Left out of the ingredient list. And they are fantastic. And easy!
